We take great care in packaging our specimens.
Each pinned specimen is:
- Securely attached to a specially designed internal mounting platform shaped like a pinning board
- Placed inside a strong cardboard box
- Stabilized to prevent movement during transport
This system ensures that specimens remain firmly in place and are protected during worldwide shipping.

Yes, we ship worldwide, including the USA.
We use DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping for U.S. orders.
This means no additional import duties, customs fees, or taxes are charged to you. Your order will arrive without any extra payments on delivery.
There may occasionally be minor delays due to customs processing, but no additional fees are required from the customer.
We are fully transparent about sourcing.
All specimens are either:
- Sustainably farmed, or
- Wild collected under legal regulations
It is important to understand that claims suggesting all perfect specimens “lived their full natural life” are misleading. In nature, butterflies and moths that die naturally typically have worn or damaged wings. Specimens in perfect condition are usually sourced before natural deterioration occurs.
We do not make false claims. Instead, we focus on responsible and sustainable sourcing.
What does sustainable sourcing mean?
For us, sustainable sourcing includes:
- Butterfly farms in the country of origin, supporting local communities
- Specimens bred by us or trusted partners
- Legal and regulated wild collection
- Responsible and transparent practices
Customers can use product filters to choose between farmed and wild-collected specimens.
A papered (unmounted) butterfly or moth is:
- Stored in a protective paper envelope
- With wings folded closed
- Not yet pinned or spread
To display it, you need to pin and spread the specimen yourself using standard entomological techniques.
Papered specimens are ideal for collectors who prefer preparing their own displays.
If your package is lost, damaged, or arrives in unsatisfactory condition, we will:
- Send a replacement item, or
- Issue a full refund
You may choose the solution that works best for you. Customer satisfaction is our priority.

Terrible!!! Just joking everything is perfect all the tools came perfectly fine and the butterflies too!!
With only some minor flaws on the antennas, but the wings were perfectly fine, I recommend if you wanna start in entomology, it's really the perfect entry!
Great gift, good materials, only thing is that i’m not sure how the animals are being sourced.

This would make such a great gift for anyone interested in entomology. The items were packaged with care and arrived fast and in great shape. The customer service was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Super merci beaucoup à Chris ✨
Everything was in perfect condition and packaged nicely. My husband and I were total beginners, but the instructions were really easy to follow, and we had a great time! I was a little nervous when the tracking wasn't updating, but it arrived sooner than I thought.
Sorgfältig verpackt mit viel hingabe.
Alles wie beschrieben. Bestelle gerne wieder.🙏
I’ve ordered quite a bit of entomo supplies and this is definitely some of the highest quality. The difference ditch- sized pinning boards were exactly what I needed for my smaller specimens.
very good!! had everything i needed and plenty of pins, although i did receive two of the same butterflies theyre still beautiful.
I was a bit disappointed when my package showed up as I was requested to pay import/customs fees when it came to my door. I paid around $20 CAD which ended up making my purchase well over $100 even though I was given a coupon. I wish this was marked in advance on the listing. Nonetheless, when I opened my package I found everything in good order. The butterflies/moths I received were in decent condition, some were missing legs/antenna. You have to be very gentle while posing them under the plastic film as I noticed some of the colour from the wing was wiped/scratched off when I wasn't careful/gentle enough.
Amazing! Very good product, super happy :D
Thanks!
Wszystko w porządku polecam 😁
As a beginner i am very happy with the set. I had perfect results with it
wie beschrieben 😃
Great kit with everything I need to get started. Looking forward to learning, thanks!
Great item! cant wait to use it
Super super super super super
