Each pinned specimen is:
- Securely attached to a specially designed internal mounting platform shaped like a pinning board
- Placed inside a strong cardboard box
- Stabilized to prevent movement during transport
This system ensures that specimens remain firmly in place and are protected during worldwide shipping.

It is important to understand that claims suggesting all perfect specimens “lived their full natural life” are misleading. In nature, butterflies and moths that die naturally typically have worn or damaged wings. Specimens in perfect condition are usually sourced before natural deterioration occurs.
We do not make false claims. Instead, we focus on responsible and sustainable sourcing.
What does sustainable sourcing mean?
For us, sustainable sourcing includes:
- Butterfly farms in the country of origin, supporting local communities
- Specimens bred by us or trusted partners
- Legal and regulated wild collection
- Responsible and transparent practices
Customers can use product filters to choose between farmed and wild-collected specimens.
A papered (unmounted) butterfly or moth is:
- Stored in a protective paper envelope
- With wings folded closed
- Not yet pinned or spread
To display it, you need to pin and spread the specimen yourself using standard entomological techniques.
Papered specimens are ideal for collectors who prefer preparing their own displays.
If your package is lost, damaged, or arrives in unsatisfactory condition, we will:
- Send a replacement item, or
- Issue a full refund

Contact usHorrible packaging if I’m being honest as soon as I took it out of the package the body was already broken off probably because it was just sitting at the bottom of the box with bubble wrap ON TOP of it not all around it or else it probably would have been fine just really want my money back

The butterflies were crumpled up during transit however the seller is sending 2 replacements, I think this was more a shipping issue rather than a quality issue. Everything else I ordered arrived in great shape.
The specimen came well packaged and in excellent condition. I love it. I reached out to the seller prior abd the customer service was amazing. I Ahave more then 15 specimins from this seller and the pinning supplies. I ordered the Morpho as a gift for my friend as they are her favourite butterfly and was also the first insect I have pinned. Shipping took awhile but from the distance where it was coming from is understandable. The butterfly arrived in great condition. I will definitely order butterflies from here again!
He's absolutely beautiful! Perfect condition and his wings feel like velvet. I think they could have been packaged a little more securely, like the specimens be put in a bubble-wrapped box and then into the postage box, but he arrived in perfect condition regardless! Magnifique morpho en parfait état, pas d'antenne cassée ou de patte manquante. Bien protégé et emballé. Il y avait même un petit magnet en cadeau 😊 hâte de les étaler pour admirer leurs belles ailes bleues.
Édite : Ils sont désormais étalés et ils sont incroyables. Belles ailes bleues sans zones frottées ou cassures. Ils sont très faciles à assouplir et à manipuler 👌
